Dr. Carol Ann Nicrosi
After graduating from Birmingham-Southern College in 1990, Dr. Carol Ann attended the University of Alabama School of Dentistry and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1995. She went on to complete her pediatric specialty at University of Alabama with a three year Master’s program and served as Chief Resident. Dr. Carol Ann has enjoyed practicing in Gardendale since 1998. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Alabama Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Birmingham District Dental Society. Dr. Carol Ann is a small town girl at heart growing up in Demopolis, AL. She and her husband William have two children, Nancy Kate and Charles. She enjoys spending time with her active family, reading and all outdoor activities.
Dr. Kathryn J. Hoar
Dr. Kathy Hoar has been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Gardendale area since 1980. An Atlanta native, she came to Birmingham in the early 1970s and never left. She and her husband Wayne have one grown son, Alex.
Dr. Kathy attended Auburn University and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry in 1974. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1978. At that time she was selected as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honorary Society and received the Mosby Scholarship Award. Later, she went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry, completing her internship and residency at UAB in conjunction with Children’s Hospital and Chauncey Sparks Center.
Dr. Kathy is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, past president of the Birmingham Pediatric Dental Association, the Southeastern Society of Pediatric dentistry-past board member, the Alabama Dental Association, and the Birmingham District Dental Association.
